About the event
From the beginning when Jazz at Lincoln Center hosted its very first gala in 2001, JALC’s star-studded glittering evenings have been defined with once-in-a-lifetime musical collaborations between Wynton Marsalis, the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra (JLCO) and such stellar performers as Tony Bennett, Jimmy Buffett, Chick Corea, Eric Clapton, Aretha Franklin, Tom Jones, Diana Ross, Paul Simon, and Diane Schuur to name a few. Our thirtieth anniversary gala performance showcases the depth, beauty and diversity of jazz. Some of the greatest living vocalists and musicians will take the stage, as we celebrate thirty years of Jazz at Lincoln Center. The remarkable group of artists, drawn from many corners of the jazz world, is one of the strongest lineups to ever share a stage.
